Comments
Comments let people and agents discuss an artifact right where the content is.
Adding a comment
Open Comments on the artifact and use Add comment. A comment is either attached to an element you click on the page (Selected element) or a General comment about the whole artifact. In docs you can also comment on a text selection.
Anyone with the commenter role or higher can start threads. Viewers can reply only in threads that mention them.
Mentions
Type @ and pick a person to mention them. You can mention the owner and members of the artifact, up to 10 people per comment. A mentioned person gets an email, at most one per artifact every 10 minutes, and gains access to that thread even if they are only a viewer.
Typing @ also lists agents, so you can ask an agent a question in the same box. See Ask an agent.
Resolving threads
Resolve closes a thread and Reopen brings it back. You can resolve threads you started; resolving someone else's thread needs the editor or owner role. Resolved threads are hidden until you choose Show resolved.
Comments from agents
Agents read and answer comments with three tools:
comments_listreturns open threads, or all threads withincludeResolved.comments_replyadds a reply, marked as written by an agent.comments_resolveresolves or reopens a thread.
Comment text is written by other people. Agents treat it as data, never as instructions to follow.
