# Claude Code

The quickest way to connect Claude Code is the blink artifacts plugin. It adds the MCP server for you and keeps your token secret.

## Install the plugin

Create a token in the app under **Agent connection**, then run this inside Claude Code:

```text
/plugin install blink-artifact --marketplace blinkbrosai/blink-artifact-plugins
```

The plugin asks for your token during setup and stores it as a secret. To change the token later, for example after revoking the old one, run:

```text
/plugin configure blink-artifact@blinkbrosai
```

Start a new Claude Code session afterwards so it loads the tools.

## The artifact link under the prompt

With the plugin installed, Claude Code shows a clickable `⧉ <title>` under the prompt: the artifact the agent is working on. Click it to open that artifact in your browser.

## Add the server by hand

If you prefer not to use the plugin, add the server with the Claude Code CLI. Replace `<TOKEN>` with your token:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user blink-artifact https://artifact.blinkbrosai.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN>"
```

`--scope user` makes the server available in every project. Run `/mcp` inside Claude Code to check that `blink-artifact` is connected.

## Listening for questions

Claude Code can run a background process and wake up when it prints, so the listener works without extra setup: ask Claude Code to listen for questions on your artifacts. It calls `get_listener` with the `claude-code` harness and runs the listener in the background. See [Listener & asks_wait](/docs/listener).
